SUMMARY:17th Meeting of the UNCTAD Research Partnership Platform

DESCRIPTION:The Research Partnership Platform on Competition and Consumer 
 Protection (RPP)\, created by UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in 20
 10\, provides a collaborative forum to strengthen research and policy anal
 ysis on competition and consumer protection. It aims to connect academi
 cs\, policymakers and practitioners to create synergies among them\, 
 share their insights and foster evidence-based policymaking. Using tech
 nology for consumer protection In its 17th edition\, the RPP will bri
 ng together leading scholars and researchers to discuss the use of digit
 al enforcement tools for consumer protection. How to deepen internationa
 l enforcement cooperation In this edition\, RPP will host world renowned 
 scholars and experts to brainstorm on how to deepen international enforce
 ment cooperation\, which is key to effectively address competition concern
 s at all levels. Latest research on competition law and policy In this 
 segment of the meeting\, scholars will present ongoing research projects 
 addressing business practices of the State in markets through competiti
 on law.  Linking research findings to policy advice and technical as
 sistance The Research Partnership Platform aims to contribute to UNCTAD
 ’s broader mandate to achieve inclusive and sustainable development
  by creating synergies among scholars and practitioners in exploring
  how competition and consumer policies can ensure that markets work 
 for development. Participation and registration The meeting will be hel
 d in person only on 8 July 2026\, from 13:15 to 14:50 (CEST)\, in Roo
 m XII of the Palais des Nations\, back-to-back with the 23rd session of
  the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Competition Law and Policy and
  the 9th session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts (IGE) on C
 onsumer Protection Law and Policy. Registration to the IGE meetings i
