 egional Forum on Consumer Protection 2026 will take place in Bangkok\, Tha
 iland\, on 26–27 August 2026. Organized by Thailand&#039\;s Office of th
 e Consumer Protection Board in cooperation with UN Trade and Development (
 UNCTAD)\, the Forum is the first to be held under the Memorandum of Unders
 tanding signed by the two organizations in July 2025 to strengthen coopera
 tion\, knowledge-sharing and capacity-building in consumer protection. It 
 is intended to become an annual platform for dialogue and cooperation amon
 g consumer protection authorities and stakeholders from across the region.
  As consumer markets become increasingly digital\, cross-border and shape
 d by the green transition\, the Forum will bring together consumer protect
 ion authorities\, international organizations\, experts\, academia and oth
 er stakeholders to exchange experiences and identify practical responses t
 o emerging challenges. Discussions will cover consumer trends in the late
  2020s\, the United Nations Principles for Consumer Product Safety\, envir
 onmental information and product labelling\, cross-border consumer protect
 ion\, e-commerce and academic proposals for strengthening consumer protect
 ion laws and policies.By fostering regional dialogue and the exchange of g
 ood practices\, the Forum aims to strengthen consumer protection framework
 s\, support effective enforcement and encourage greater cooperation across
  borders. It also provides an opportunity to promote the implementation of
  the United Nations Guidelines for Consumer Protection and the newly adopt
 ed United Nations Principles for Consumer Product Safety\, contributing to
  more resilient\, transparent and trusted markets in support of sustainabl
