SUMMARY:National Validation Workshop on the Vulnerability Profile of Uganda

DESCRIPTION:The Vulnerability Profile of Uganda was prepared pursuant to Un
 ited Nations General Assembly Resolution 59/209\, which mandates UNCTAD to
  undertake vulnerability assessments of least developed countries (LDCs) t
 hat have met the LDC graduation criteria for the first time. The Vulnerabi
 lity Profile constitutes an important input into the graduation assessment
  conducted by the Committee for Development Policy (CDP).The validation wo
 rkshop will provide a platform for policy dialogue among government offici
 als\, development partners\, private sector representatives\, academics\, 
 and other stakeholders on the findings and implications of the Vulnerabili
 ty Profile. Discussions will focus on evaluating the nature and severity o
 f the identified vulnerabilities\, their potential implications for Uganda
 ’s graduation process\, and the policy measures needed to strengthen res
 ilience\, mitigate risks\, and sustain development gains throughout and be
 yond the transition from LDC status.&lt\;p&gt\;The Vulnerability Profile o
