SUMMARY:Global Supply Chain Forum 2026 session: National trade facilitation
committees - Beyond trade facilitation and towards the global supply chai
 n ecosystem
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:National Trade Facilitation Committees (NTFCs) have become esse
ntial pillars of national trade governance. Established under Article 23.2
of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA)\, they were initially creat
ed to coordinate and support the implementation of trade facilitation refo
rms through cooperation between government agencies and the private sector
. Nearly a decade after the TFA entered into force\, however\, their role
has evolved significantly. In a global environment shaped by supply chain
  disruptions\, geopolitical tensions\, digital transformation\, climate-re
lated challenges\, and regional integration initiatives\, NTFCs are emergi
ng as strategic platforms that extend beyond traditional trade facilitatio
 n. Their multi-stakeholder structure enables them to foster public-private
dialogue\, improve policy coordination\, support crisis preparedness\, st
rengthen supply chain resilience\, and contribute to broader trade and com
petitiveness objectives. At the same time\, many NTFCs continue to face c
hallenges related to sustainability\, resource mobilization\, stakeholder
engagement\, and visibility. This session will explore how NTFCs can adapt
to emerging challenges\, strengthen stakeholder collaboration\, and conti
nue serving as key drivers of resilient\, inclusive\, and sustainable trad
e and supply chain governance.&lt\;p&gt\;National Trade Facilitation Commi
