The Chairman of the Ukraine Antimonopoly Committee, Dr. Vyssel Tshonko, has submitted to UNCTAD Secretary-General Supachai Panitchpakdi a formal request for a peer review of Ukraine's competition law and policy.
Experts back UNCTAD proposal for technical assistance to four countries to bolster competition law and policy

A group of experts on competition policy has discussed the peer reviews of the competition laws and policies in three African countries and Mongolia, and has recommended that UNCTAD carry out a proposed technical assistance programme to follow up on progress already made in the field.
UNCTAD and Bulgarian Competition Authority sign MoU

UNCTAD signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bulgarian Competition Authority - Commission on Protection of Competition (CPC). The MoU took effect on the day of the signing and is aimed at strengthening the framework of cooperation between the CPC and UNCTAD through consultations and regular capacity building activities extended to Balkan countries.
