UNCTAD has held a meeting of the United Nations Inter-Agency Cluster on Trade and Productive Capacity with the Permanent Mission of Myanmar in Geneva. Participating in the meeting were representatives of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the International Trade Centre, the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and the United Nations Office for Project Services.

The Global Management Board of the UN Trade Cluster initiative, which is sponsored by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), met on 15 October 2012 to review its current operations, and to endorse its annual work plan for the Lao People's Democratic Republic, to discuss the next steps to be taken towards a new project to be launched in the United Republic of Tanzania, and to consider possible future projects in further countries.

A number of United Nations resident coordinators met on 22 February with the United Nations Inter-Agency Cluster on Trade and Productive Capacity to discuss the best methods for using aid to enhance trade and the productive abilities of developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
