Awareness seminar on the role of competition law in Zimbabwe

UNCTAD's awareness Campaign seminar on the role of competition law in Zimbabwe in collaboration with CTC falls, under Activity 3.2.4, of the Trade and Private Sector Development Project funded by the EU. This is one of the Awareness seminars scheduled to take place in different parts of Zimbabwe.  UNCTAD will undertake a mission in order to participate of this event which will be held on June 5th  2015 in Harare. 

 
The objective of this event is to create awareness and understanding among stake holders on the benefit of competition. It will also be a forum for exchange of views and networking among stake holders on issues partaking to the operations of the Zimbabwe market. These seminars will be held in Zimbabwe on 5th June 2015. Experts with competition enforcement experience from CTC will conduct this workshop.
 
The expected outcome of this mission is a better understanding of the competition principles among stakeholders and its contribution to the development process of Zimbabwe. The output of this mission will be a raised awareness of the role of competition law and its benefits for the economy to the business community and other stakeholders in Harare.
 
Mrs. Elizabeth Gachuiri, the Project Officer from UNCTAD will participate in this activity and facilitate the discussions.
