Consumer Trust in Cross-border E-commerce

17 avril 2018
03:15 - 04:45 hrs. Room XXV
Geneva
, Suisse

The aim of this session is to discuss the steps needed to increase consumer trust in cross-border e-commerce.

Cross border e-commerce has the potential to increase market access for producers and increase choice for consumers, but it can be difficult for consumers to trust traders who operate under different rules and regulations.

Cross border e-commerce is growing, but in most regions, it continues to be a small proportion of total e-commerce.

A small expert panel will discuss the challenges and assess what steps retailers and regulators can take to reassure consumers.
