UNCTAD's COMPAL Programme hosts its Annual Conference

​UNCTAD's COMPAL Programme has been strengthening institutions and capacities in the areas of competition and consumer protection policies in Latin America since 2003. The third phase of the programme began on 2015 with a focus on regional cooperation and integration. Its members are competition and consumer protection authorities of: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. In 2016, the programme has implemented 78% of planned activities for 2016 and 70% of its budget. The Annual Conference, bringing together its sixteen members, the donor Switzerland and interested observers.
