Oganized by the UNCTAD Virtual Institute (Vi) at the request of the State University Higher School of Economics (Moscow), the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, the St. Petersburg State University, the St. Petersburg State University of Economics and the North-West Institute (St. Petersburg), this one-week training programme is the seventh annual study tour for Vi member universities in the Russian Federation.
Topics covered by the programme for the 70 students and lecturers include the international financial system, foreign direct investment, technology and innovation, trade remedies, trade in services and WTO dispute settlement. The programme will also include discussions on the implementation of Russia’s membership to the WTO and the Bali package, a hands-on session on ITC’s market research and analysis tools, and a simulation exercise on FDI
Sessions will be delivered by experts from UNCTAD, WTO, ITC and the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the UN.
