The second Empretec Entrepreneurship Training Workshop in Indonesia is part of the development account project 2124A - “Towards integrated national financing framework” of which Indonesia is one of the beneficiary countries.
The workshop is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance – Directorate General of Customs and Excise, and the State Bank of Indonesia (BNI) – and aims at training a second cohort of Indonesian entrepreneurs and owners of export-oriented small businesses. It is expected to enhance the capacity of participants’ businesses to access international markets and be more competitive.
UNCTAD’s Empretec programme adopts a well-tested and renowned behavioural approach, which aims at developing entrepreneurship as a set of specific competencies and practices that can be observed, recognized, applied and acquired by entrepreneurs on their daily lives. By fostering participants' motivation and self-confidence, the ETW manages to show entrepreneurs the difference between merely running a business and building a successful growth-oriented enterprise.
