- Enhance the dissemination of best practices and lessons learned in the promotion and facilitation of foreign direct investment for sustainable development, inspiring peer organizations around the world.
Investment Promotion Awards 2026: Excellence in promoting investment in the digital economy
The 2026 awards will recognize institutions that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in attracting and facilitating investment that advances digital transformation and supports inclusive and sustainable development.
Award recipients will be announced during the World Investment Forum 2026, to be held in Doha, Qatar, from 25 to 27 October 2026.
The Forum will bring together policymakers, investors, business leaders and development partners from around the world to discuss emerging investment trends and opportunities.
The process
Each year, UNCTAD chooses a topical subject for the Awards and carries out a survey among organizations with investment promotion responsibilities.
A jury evaluates candidates and selects winners.
The ceremony
Awards are presented at UNCTAD international meetings, including the World Investment Forum and UNCTAD’s Investment, Enterprise and Development Commission.
