
Professor Tanya Wyatt is a green criminologist with nearly 20 years of experience researching Crimes that Affect the Environment. She joined the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime’s Research and Trend Analysis Branch in November 2022. Professor Wyatt is the Lead Researcher on Crimes that Affect the Environment.
Before joining UNODC, she was a Professor at Northumbria University in Newcastle, United Kingdom. During this time, she published nearly 100 books, journal articles, book chapters, and reports on Crimes that Affect the Environment. Prior to that, she was a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine and a police officer for nearly 5 years in the United States.
Professor Tanya Wyatt holds a BA in Biology from Mills College in Oakland, California, and a Masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan, United States. She earned her Doctorate in Criminology from the University of Kent in Canterbury, United Kingdom.
José Alexandre "Xanana" Gusmão is an East Timorese politician. He has served as the 6th prime minister of East Timor since 2023, previously serving in that position from 2007 to 2015.
He also served as East Timor's first president since its re-establishment of independence, from 2002 to 2007.

Ana Isabel Xavier is Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in the Government of the Portuguese Republic.
Before that, she served as Secretary of State for National Defense (April 2024 to June 2025); Associate Professor at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL); Visiting Professor at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa; Integrated Researcher at the Centre for International Studies (CEI-Iscte); Researcher at CISD-IUM – Centro de Investigação em Segurança e Defesa of the Portuguese Military University Institute.
She also served as Deputy Director-General for National Defence Policy; President of the Board of the Association of Auditors of National Defence Courses; President of the Board of DECIDE - Association of Young Auditors for Defence, Security and Citizenship.
Ms. Xavier holds a PhD in International Relations from the Faculty of Economics
of the University of Coimbra; a Master's degree in Sociology of Development and Social Transformation (2006) and a degree in International Relations (2003) from the same Faculty.
She also holds a postgraduate degree (2005) in Human Rights and Democratization from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra.

She was previously the Director of Investor Relations and Strategic Initiatives at 500 Startups focused on building relationships with LPs, corporate partners and the global portfolio management strategy driving the firm’s community of 1,800+ investments across 60 countries. With 10+ years of experience in economic development, entrepreneurship and global operations, Jennifer works to bring good people and good ideas together.
Mr. Haoliang Xu was appointed UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Assistant Administrator and Director for the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support by the United Nations Secretary-General in July 2019. Previously, Mr. Xu was UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Assistant Administrator and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific since September 2013.
Prior to this, he served as Deputy Regional Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States in New York since 2010; UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Kazakhstan (2007-2010); Country Director in Pakistan (2005-2007); Deputy Resident Representative for Programme, Pakistan (2004-2005); Country Manager and Senior Deputy Resident Representative, UNDP Timor-Leste (2002-2004); Deputy Resident Representative, UNDP Iran (2000-2002); Programme Manager, Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific, New York (1997-1999); Programme Officer/Junior Professional Officer, UNDP Kazakhstan (1997-1999).
Before joining the UN, Mr. Xu was a computer-aided design engineer with Louis Berger International Inc. in New Jersey and an assistant lecturer at Tongji University in Shanghai, China.
Mr. Xu, a Chinese national, holds a Bachelors in Engineering from Tongji University in Shanghai, and a Masters' of Science in Management from the Stevens Institute of Technology (USA). He also holds a Masters' of International Affairs in Economic Development and Policy Analysis from Columbia University (USA).
Fatima-Zohra Yaagoub is the Impact Strategy Officer of the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC). Zohra has ten years of experience in driving impact through mobilising resources, strategy development and brokering shared-value partnerships in smallholder agriculture. Throughout her career at IFAD, GIZ and the OECD, sustainable finance has also been part and parcel of her activities. At the CFC, Zohra identifies opportunities to increase the Fund’s impact by strengthening its impact strategy, developing fruitful alliances, and carefully assessing sustainability risks within the portfolio. Together with the CFC, she aims to future-proof the organisation and put it in a strong position to scale up the impact of its investments in SMEs over the next Decade of Action.
Diyana Yahaya is a Feminist Activist, Trainer, Researcher, Advocator and Mobilizer.
Diyana, has worked for more than a decade at local, national, regional and global level to undertake research, carry out advocacy on laws and policies, build capacity and strengthen movements to understand, challenge and develop alternatives to the traditional model of economic development and for human rights. She has carried out and advanced feminist and gendered analysis of the impact of trade, finance and investment rules through engagements with grassroots communities, fellow activists and civil societies, UN agencies, government officials and trade negotiators. She has also authored several briefs, reports, toolkit, and publications on various issues such as trade, economics, and feminist alternatives and demands.

Takuro Yamamoto is the General Manager of Business Development of Tokyo Gas United Kingdom Ltd. beginning Apr 2024. Prior to the current position, he acted as the General Manager of Paris Representative Office of Tokyo Gas for 2 years as well as engaged for LNG Trading Department in Tokyo headquarters for 6 years. He also has an experience for taking secondments for working for International Energy Agency and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. He joined Tokyo Gas in 1999 and started his career in residential sales department and also has experience working in upstream investment project in Australia.
Andres Valenciano Yamuni was sworn in as Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica on November 24th, 2020. He is responsible for Costa Rican foreign trade policies and attraction of foreign investment, as well as the representation before several multilateral organizations, such as SIECA, the WTO, and the OECD.
Minister Valenciano Yamuni has over 15 years of professional experience. He is an Industrial Engineer graduated from the University of Costa Rica, with a Master degree in International Business from The Fletcher School - Tufts University in the United States of America, and he’s a Lee Kuan Yew School Senior Fellow from the National University of Singapore. He has led research studies and projects related to social and economic development in over 12 countries in three continents. Before becoming Minister, he was the Executive President of the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje, where he was in charge of technical and vocational education in the country. Mr. Valenciano Yamuni was awarded as one of the “40 under 40” for contributions to Costa Rican society in 2013 and is part of the Advisory Council of the “State of the Nation” program.
