
Fervent défenseur des professionnels africains de la pêche artisanale, Gaoussou Gueye est mareyeur depuis 1995 avec plus de 35 ans d’expérience dans le secteur de la pêche artisanale sénégalaise, 15 ans d’expérience en Afrique et 10 ans d’expérience en pêche industrielle, occupe actuellement les fonctions suivantes:
- Coordinateur de la plateforme africaine des acteurs non étatiques de la pêche et de l’aquaculture;
- Président de la Confédération Africaine des Organisations Professionnelles de Pêche Artisanale (CAOPA);
- Membre du conseil d’administration de la Fisheries Transparency Initiative (FiTI);
- Président de l’Association pour la Promotion et la Responsabilisation des Acteurs de la Pêche Artisanale à Mbour (APRAPAM);
- Président du comité local de certification citoyenne de Mbour (Sénégal).

Ms. Ana Güezmes is Chief of the Gender Affairs Division at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
Defender of women's human rights and gender equality, Dr. Güezmes has been representative of UN Women in Colombia and in Mexico, and sub-regional director of UN Women for Mexico, Central America, Cuba and the Dominican Republic, as well as regional advisor to the United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA.

Christian Guillermet Fernández has been a career diplomat in the Costa Rican foreign service since 1998 and, from April 2020 to June 2023, was appointed as Deputy Minister of Multilateral Affairs.
During his experience in the Foreign Service and in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, in the last decade he worked as:
- Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative at the Permanent Mission of Costa Rica to the United Nations in New York (2019-2020).
- Director General of Foreign Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica (2016-2018)
- Deputy Director General of Foreign Policy (2015-2016).
- Deputy Permanent Representative of Costa Rica to the United Nations in Geneva (2010-2015). From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Guillermet-Fernández was an official in the Office of the Ombudsman of Costa Rica, at the beginning of the creation of the Institution.
During his diplomatic career, he worked as Chair-Rapporteur of the United Nations Open-ended Working Group on the Right to Peace, among others. In addition, he has collaborated extensively with different universities and think tanks and has written for prestigious peer-reviewed journals worldwide.
He has studied Law and International Relations with extensive experience in multilateral affairs, human rights, peace and security, International Humanitarian Law, International Law, humanitarian disarmament.
Mario Guiot is the CEO of Suape Industrial Port Complex. With extensive experience in the port sector, Marcio Guiot has held executive leadership positions in several companies and has worked as a consultant on various projects in the sector. He served as director of Brasil Terminal (Port of Santos), Port of Itapoá, and Libra Terminais Santos. Additionally, he held the position of superintendent at Ceará Terminal Operator (CTO) in the Pecém Complex, located in Ceará.
Graduating in Nautical Sciences from the Merchant Marine Academy of Rio de Janeiro, Guiot holds an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral, a specialization in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) from the Administration Institute Foundation of the University of São Paulo (USP), as well as executive development courses in Brazil and abroad.
Arvind Gupta is the Head and Co-Founder of Digital India Foundation, a policy think tank working in areas of Digital Inclusion, Smart Cities, Internet Governance, Data Privacy & Cyber Security, Electronics and Manufacturing. He is also an Adjunct Professor at IIT-BHU, teaching “Data and Digital Economy and a Member of Founder’s Circle of iSPiRT. He cooperated extensively with the Indian government leading, among other thing, the official Indian Digital, Social Media and Communication Campaign.
Mr. Gupta graduated with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIT-BHU, Varanasi. He has a Masters in Computer Science and MBA from University of Illinois. In 2014, he has been awarded the Eisenhower Global Fellowship for Innovation and the DataQuest Pathbreaker of the year award.
Anita Gurumurthy is a Founding Member and Executive Director of IT for Change, where she leads research on the platform economy, data and AI governance, democracy in the digital age, and feminist frameworks on digital justice.
Anita actively engages in national and international advocacy on digital rights and contributes regularly to academic and media spaces. She serves as advisor and expert on various bodies including the United Nations Secretary-General’s 10-Member Group in support of the Technology Facilitation Mechanism , the Paris Peace Forum’s working group on algorithmic governance, Save the Children’s ICT4D Brain Trust, and Minderoo Tech & Policy Lab ‘s Board.
Emy Gustavsson is a Senior Legal Officer and Policy Advisor at the Swedish Consumer Agency. She is working with international affairs, representing the Agency in several international networks as well as working on policy related issues. Lately, the work has been focused on protection of consumers on digital media, and in particular children.
António Guterres, the ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations, took office on 1st January 2017.
Having witnessed the suffering of the most vulnerable people on earth, in refugee camps and in war zones, the Secretary-General is determined to make human dignity the core of his work, and to serve as a peace broker, a bridge-builder and a promoter of reform and innovation.
Prior to his appointment as Secretary-General, Mr. Guterres served as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees from June 2005 to December 2015, heading one of the world’s foremost humanitarian organizations during some of the most serious displacement crises in decades. The conflicts in Syria and Iraq, and the crises in South Sudan, the Central African Republic and Yemen, led to a huge rise in UNHCR’s activities as the number of people displaced by conflict and persecution rose from 38 million in 2005 to over 60 million in 2015.
Before joining UNHCR, Mr. Guterres spent more than 20 years in government and public service. He served as prime minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002, during which time he was heavily involved in the international effort to resolve the crisis in East Timor.
As president of the European Council in early 2000, he led the adoption of the Lisbon Agenda for growth and jobs, and co-chaired the first European Union-Africa summit. He was a member of the Portuguese Council of State from 1991 to 2002.
Mr. Guterres was elected to the Portuguese Parliament in 1976 where he served as a member for 17 years. During that time, he chaired the Parliamentary Committee for Economy, Finance and Planning, and later the Parliamentary Committee for Territorial Administration, Municipalities and Environment. He was also leader of his party’s parliamentary group.
From 1981 to 1983, Mr. Guterres was a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, where he chaired the Committee on Demography, Migration and Refugees.
For many years Mr. Guterres was active in the Socialist International, a worldwide organization of social democratic political parties. He was the group’s vice-president from 1992 to 1999, co-chairing the African Committee and later the Development Committee. He served as President from 1999 until mid-2005. In addition, he founded the Portuguese Refugee Council as well as the Portuguese Consumers Association DECO, and served as president of the Centro de Acção Social Universitário, an association carrying out social development projects in poor neighbourhoods of Lisbon, in the early 1970s.
Mr. Guterres is a member of the Club of Madrid, a leadership alliance of democratic former presidents and prime ministers from around the world.
Mr. Guterres was born in Lisbon in 1949 and graduated from the Instituto Superior Técnico with a degree in engineering. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish. He is married to Catarina de Almeida Vaz Pinto, Deputy Mayor for Culture of Lisbon, and has two children, a stepson and three grandchildren.

Lois Guthrie was the Founding Director of the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) in 2004 and led the development of a framework to report environmental information in mainstream corporate reports. CDSB consolidated into the IFRS Foundation in 2021 and Lois now advises the Foundation on its capacity building programme. Previously, Lois was Technical Director at Zurich Insurance Group, as well as Technical Director to the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) where she was responsible for technical development. Lois also serves on ACCA’s Global Forum on Sustainability and a member of Carbon Tracker’s Advisory Board. She studied environmental policy at the Open University and holds an MSc in Responsibility and Business Practice.
