The 4th Meeting of the Steering Committee, scheduled for 29 April 2025, will bring together project partners to review progress and agree on key strategic decisions for the next phase of the “Strengthening Capacity for Evidence-Based Policymaking and Economic Resilience in CARICOM” initiative. The meeting will provide an opportunity to assess follow-up actions from previous discussions, refine the approach to country engagement, and address anticipated challenges related to data availability, coordination, and Member States’ readiness.

Participants will review forthcoming updates from the CARICOM Secretariat, discuss proposals for prioritizing countries for pilot activities, and explore new opportunities to strengthen the project’s data foundation—particularly through alternative data sources relevant to emerging sectors such as the creative economy. The session will also outline plans for upcoming bilateral meetings with priority Member States, ensuring alignment among statistical and policy focal points. The meeting will conclude with an open floor for any other business and agreement on next steps.
