Kai-Ann Skeete is a Trade Research Fellow of the Shridath Ramphal Centre for International Trade Law, Policy and Services based at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados.
Dr. Skeete lectures on Research Methods for Trade as well as Regional Integration and Development within the Masters for International Trade Policy, as well as a compulsory post-graduate course called CARICOM and the CSME. Her research interests include CARICOM’s Forward Trade Agenda, Caribbean Regional Integration, Contingent Rights, Latin American Foreign Policy, Security Studies and Regional governance systems.


H.E. Mr. Ville Skinnari has been serving as a Minister in the cabinet of Prime Minister Sanna Marin since 2019 and has been member of the Finnish Parliament since 2015.
Earlier in his career, he worked in the field of international trade, and worked as a freelance journalist in Japan, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

Mr. Andrey Slepnev took office as the Member of the Board – Minister for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission for the second time on 3 March, 2020.
He began his career in the insurance sector, and it took him a few years to make strides from the project manager toward the Director General of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers. He graduated Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod with a degree in Applied Mathematics, and M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University with a Law degree.
Mr. Slepnev was born on September 13, 1969 in the town of Bor, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Russian Federation. He is married and has three children.
- From May 2018 to February 2020, he served as the Director General of Russian Export Center, JSC.
- From February 2016 to April 2018, Mr. Slepnev held the positions of Aide to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation – Director of the Department for Project Activities of the Government of the Russian Federation.
- From February 2012 to January 2016, he held his first term as the Member of the Board – Minister for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
- From 2009 to 2012 Mr. Slepnev acted as the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. Previously, in 2007, he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
- From 2005 to 2007, he headed the Department for Supporting Priority National Projects of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation.
- From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Slepnev acted as the Deputy Director General of the Union called "Coordinating Council of Employers' Associations of Russia".
John Robert Sloan is an Economist with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. He specializes in industrial policy and natural resources, focusing on the transition from mining and other resource-based activities to industrialization and economic transformation. His work draws from primary research and consultations with African member States in order to formulate policies and build capacity development tools and trainings for policy makers and stakeholders. Mr. Sloan has worked for over thirteen years with the United Nations in Addis Ababa, Beirut and New York, covering further topics such as trade, macroeconomics, conflict and development financing. His papers have been published by Yale University, the Economic Research Forum, African Development Bank and Tudor Rose Publishing. Prior to working with the United Nations, Mr. Sloan consulted on education policy and workforce development with the World Bank. He is a Fulbright Scholar and is fluent in German and French. He holds a Master’s Degree from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan.

Saskia Slomp was appointed EFRAG CEO from 1 April 2019 responsible for the operations, finance, governance, due process oversight and administration of EFRAG, relations with stakeholders and the European institutions and the activities oriented at users. She supported the governance reform integrating the sustainability reporting pillar in EFRAG’s structure. She is also involved in EFRAG’s sustainability reporting activities.
She has been Governance and Admin Director at EFRAG from 1 January 2010 until 31 March 2019. In this role, she supported the various governance bodies of EFRAG and was responsible for the user activities and outreach events, in addition to her responsibilities for human resources.
Until the end of 2009, she was Technical Director at FEE (now Accountancy Europe), one of the founding member organisations of EFRAG. She has been involved in EFRAG since its establishment. Within Accountancy Europe, she was responsible for financial reporting, company law, corporate governance, capital markets, SMEs, sustainability reporting and assurance and the public sector. In the beginning of her career, she worked with KPMG in The Netherlands.
Saskia is a member of the Dutch NBA.
Sanya Reid Smith is a legal advisor and senior researcher at Third World Network.
Ms Reid Smith analyses the implications of trade and investment agreements on developing and least developed countries. She examines the impact of current negotiations at the World Trade Organisation as well as in free trade agreements and bilateral investment treaties. Third World Network is a grouping of organisations and individuals involved in development issues. Its international secretariat is in Malaysia and it has offices in various countries.

Dr. David Smith is Co-founder and Director of Quality and Innovation at Smith Warner International Ltd.
David is an expert Coastal Engineer with over 40 years' experience in his field, having an in-depth understanding of natural coastal processes affecting small island states. He has integrated climate change adaptation into coastal design using both "hard", as well as nature-based, coastline protection solutions. His work on complex international marine projects globally, includes port designs, shoreline rehabilitation projects, expert witness testimony cases and island-scale Coastal Zone Management Planning, in Canada, the Caribbean, Africa, and the Arctic.
He is a Senior Lecturer (part-time) in the Faculty of Engineering, UWI, Mona. His registrations and qualifications include: Registered Professional Engineer, Jamaica; Registered Professional Engineer, Ontario, Canada; BSc Civil Engineering (Hons), University of the West Indies; MSc Civil Engineering Hydraulics, University of London; PhD Coastal Engineering, Queen's University, Canada.
