
Kamina Johnson Smith is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica. Concurrently, she is Leader of Government Business in the Senate. Notably, Senator Johnson Smith is Jamaica's first female Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and the first born after the nation's independence.
Minister Johnson Smith has, among other initiatives, chaired the CARIFORUM group in 2016-17, and in that capacity led the opening of discussions with the UK regarding post-Brexit trade arrangements. In 2018, she served as President of the ACP Council of Ministers and chaired the CARICOM Council of Foreign Ministers and was the first Jamaican Foreign Minister to attend G7 and G20 meetings. In 2019 she was appointed as President of Council of the International Seabed Authority.
Minister Johnson Smith has also worked with a wide range of bilateral and international development partners, supporting the attainment of Jamaica's sustainable development goals, as well as strengthening Jamaica's contribution to important global efforts to build peace and security, foster respect for human rights, and promote a strong and fair multilateral trading system.
Senator Johnson Smith is an Attorney-at-Law who worked previously in private practice and as corporate in-house counsel. She holds degrees from The University of the West Indies and the London School of Economics and Political Science and is a graduate of the Norman Manley Law School.
Minister Johnson Smith was born in St. Andrew, Jamaica and is married. She enjoys reading, yoga and jogging.


The Honourable Baboucarr Ousmaila Joof is The Gambia’s current Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment.
Prior to this role, he served as Minister for Public Service, Administrative Reforms, Policy Coordination, and Delivery. Born in The Gambia in 1963, Hon. Joof holds a Master’s Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Hull, UK, in 2002, and a Teacher Training Certificate from The Gambia College in 1989.
His career began in education, teaching in primary schools across The Gambia from 1988 to 1996. During this time, he actively represented teachers as a grassroots volunteer for the Gambia Teachers’ Union (GTU). In 1996, GTU leadership entrusted him with establishing a cooperative credit society for its members. Hon. Joof went on to lead the Gambia Teachers’ Union Cooperative Credit Union (GTUCCU) as CEO for 26 consecutive years.
He is a graduate of the inaugural Africa Development Educators Program (2014) and an International Credit Union Development Educator (2016), following training in the United States. Hon. Joof has served as a resource person and trainer for the Gambia Teachers’ Union, a technical advisor to the National Association of Cooperative Credit Unions of The Gambia, and a contributor to ACCOSCA (African Confederation of Cooperative Savings and Credit Associations).
Beyond his technical work, Hon. Joof is also known as an inspirational speaker, having addressed numerous national and international forums.
Mario Jordan "Magellan" Fetalino III is the Chief Financial Officer of RCT5 Global Inc, an FMCG and Agri firm that created the most popular adlai (job’s tears) brand in the Philippines, Oh Crop.
He is also the Founder and former CEO of Acudeen Technologies, Inc., an online movable asset exchange in the Philippines, winner of Seedstars Global 2017, regarded by IDC as one of the Top 10 fastest growing fintechs in the Philippines, and more recently, recipient of the 2019 ASEAN Business Award for Most Digitized MSME in the region.
Mario serves at the Board Trustee of Fintech Alliance Philippines, helping support policymaking and policing of fintech players in the Philippines. He also used to serve as the Chairman of the Board of The Global Filipino Investors, one of the biggest financial education companies in the Philippines.
He took up B.S. Entrepreneurship in the University of Santo Tomas. He is a graduate founder from Founder Institute, and a graduate founder from the E-Founders program at the Alibaba Business School in Hangzhou, China. He holds a number of Board Directorship roles in different related fintech and non tech firms given his expertise in the subject matter.

Rahym Augustin Joseph is the Program Director and Chairperson of the Constitutional Reform Committee for the National Youth Council. He is an alumnus of the prestigious St. Mary’s College Secondary School and the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College where he contributed meaningfully as a student leader and change agent, by advocating for all things relating to Education, Sports, Law, Youth Development and Empowerment and Sustainable Development.
Augustin in his efforts has received many awards across the above mentioned disciplines; his most recent achievements includes but is not limited to the appointments of Program Director and Chairperson of the Constitutional Reform Committee for the National Youth Council, the Communications Director of the annually held Caribbean Youth Conference and the Chairman of the Saint Lucia National Youth Parliament Committee. Along with the vast experience in youth work he served as a Summer Intern at the Attorney General’s Chambers.
Augustin is currently pursuing a double major in Political Science and Law at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus and is also the Chairperson of the Sir Frank Worrell Hall on the Cave Hill Guild of Students Council and he intends to become an Attorney at Law in the future.
Bharat serves on the boards of three companies of the Joshi Group as executive Director. All three companies have interests in logistics, technology and infrastructure:
- ACTL (Associated Container Terminal Ltd (http://www.actlindia.com) established the first private Dry Port in the hinterland of India;
- JKTI (Joshi Konoike Transport and Infrastructure (http://www.trac1.in) is an Indo-Japanese joint venture with the Konoike Group (Estd. 1880) that owns and operates private freight trains; and
- J-Curve Ventures Pvt Ltd (www.jcurve.in ) was set up to (a) invest in new technology and businesses, (b) advise foreign companies and trade missions on India and (c) form alliances to pursue opportunities and projects in India and the region.
He serves on the National Council of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), as Vice President of NACFS (National Association of Container Freight Stations), is a charter member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), Delhi Chair of the INZBC (India-New Zealand Business Council).

HE Flavien Joubert is a leading political and environmental figure on the small nation island of Seychelles. Mr. Joubert was born in 1972 and was educated in Seychelles up to secondary level. Since 1996, he has worked in the Ministry of Environment. He served as Chief Executive Officer at the Seychelles National Parks Authority. He completed a Master of Environmental Studies (MES) in the Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change at York University in 2003.

Ms. Anna Joubin-Bret is the Secretary of the United Nations Commission on International
Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and the Director of the International Trade Law Division in the
United Nations Office of Legal Affairs, which functions as the substantive secretariat for
UNCITRAL. She is the ninth Secretary the Commission since it was established by the
General Assembly in 1966.
Prior to her appointment on 24 November 2017, Ms. Joubin-Bret practiced law in Paris,
specializing in International Investment Law and Investment Dispute Resolution. She
focused on serving as counsel, arbitrator, mediator and conciliator in international
investment disputes. She served as arbitrator in several ICSID, UNCITRAL and ICC
disputes. Prior to 2011 and for 15 years, Ms. Joubin-Bret was the Senior Legal Adviser for
the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). She edited and
authored seminal research and publications on international investment law, notably the
Sequels to UNCTAD IIA Series and co-edited with Jean Kalicki a book on Reform of
Investor-State Dispute Settlement in 2015.
Ms. Joubin-Bret holds a post-graduate degree (DEA) in Private International Law from the
University of Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne, a Master’s Degree in International Economic
Law from University Paris I and in Political Science from Institut d'Etudes Politiques. She
was Legal Counsel in the legal department of the Schneider Group, General Counsel of the
KIS Group and Director-Export of Pomagalski S.A. She was appointed judge at the
Commercial Court in Grenoble (France) and was elected Regional Counsellor of the
Rhône-Alpes Region in 1998.
Mathu Joyini is the Permanent Representative of South Africa to the United Nations in New York. Before that, she was the Deputy Director-General at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, heading the Diplomatic Academy and the Mediation Support Unit.
Prior to joining Government in 2001 January, she held various positions in the private sector in different industries, including Mining, Finance, Petroleum and Consulting, since 1991.
