
He is a versatile Policy Analyst in a private sector apex body with over 7 years’ experience in private sector development. Curently, he is the the Policy and Regulatory Compliance Anlayst at Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA).
He has also worked for the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce-Kenya and Consulted for the International Trade Center as a Master Trainer of Trainers on the WTO TFA. I have also been previledged to to manage projects funded by the African Development Bank, Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA), the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), the USAID through East Africa Trade and Investment Hub and Development Alternative Initiative (DAI) through the Kenya NIWETU project.
He holds a Master of International Trade and Development from the University of Adeliade, South Australia.
Tanja Buzek is Vice President of the International Trade Follow-up Committee of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and Member of the Sections for Transport (TEN) and for External Relations (REX). She works on EU Liaison Affairs for the German services trade union ver.di, representing two million workers both in the private and public sector.
As senior trade union advisor in charge of EU affairs and representative towards the European institutions, her main focus is trade policy and maritime transport.
Since 2014 a member of the EESC, she developed the Committee’s positions on a number of maritime transport files such flag State requirements and training for seafarers. As rapporteur and co-rapporteur, she led the EESC’s work on several trade-related opinions, most prominently on the TSD Review. Tasked with the monitoring of the implementation of the Trade and Sustainable Development chapters in EU trade agreements, she chairs the EU Domestic Advisory Group for Singapore and is member for Japan, Korea and Vice-Chair for Canada and the UK.
From 2017 to 2019, she was member of the first Group of Experts of DG Trade on EU trade agreements, representing the European services workers union UNI Europa. She represented ver.di as a titular member in the Executive Committees of the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF), the European Public Services Union (EPSU) and the Public Services International (PSI). She is currently part-time seconded to the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) with headquarter in London, to work on IMO matters.
Born in Vienna and of Austrian nationality, she holds a Master’s degree in political science and history.
Winnie Byanyima is the Executive Director of UNAIDS and Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations. A passionate and longstanding champion of social justice and gender equality, Ms. Byanyima leads the United Nations efforts to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030. Ms. Byanyima believes that health care is a human right and has been an early champion of a People’s Vaccine against the coronavirus that is available and free of charge to everyone, everywhere.
Before joining UNAIDS, Ms. Byanyima served as the Executive Director of Oxfam International, a confederation of 20 civil society organisations working in more than 90 countries worldwide, empowering people to create a future that is secure, just, and free from poverty.
Ms. Byanyima was elected for three terms and served eleven years in the Parliament of her country, Uganda. She led Uganda's first parliamentary women’s caucus, championing ground-breaking gender equality provisions in the county's 1995 post-conflict constitution.
Ms. Byanyima led the establishment of the African Union Commission’s Directorate of Gender and Development and also served as Director of Gender and Development at UNDP. She founded the Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE), an influential Ugandan NGO, and has been deeply involved in building global and African coalitions on social justice issues. A global leader on inequality, Ms. Byanyima has co-chaired the World Economic Forum and served on the World Bank’s Advisory Council on Gender and Development, ILO’s Global Commission on the Future of Work and the Global Commission on Adaptation.
Tina Byles Williams is Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer and Founder of Xponance®, a $12 billion multiple strategy investment company which is one of the largest diverse and woman-owned investment firms in the United States. She founded FIS Group, the predecessor firm to Xponance®, 25 years ago and has over 36 years of investment experience. Tina is the Chief Investment Officer and Lead Portfolio Manager for the firm’s active global equity strategies. As Chief Investment Officer, she chairs the firm’s Investment Committee and oversees the firm’s fixed income and equity platforms. As lead portfolio manager for the firm’s active global equity multi-manager strategies, she oversees all investment strategy, manager search and disposition decisions. Tina is widely regarded as a trailblazer in the field of identifying and investing with talented entrepreneurial investment management firms, many of which are diverse and women-owned. Prior to founding FIS Group, Tina was a principal and senior consultant with the investment consulting firm WHP, Inc.
Before joining WHP, Tina served as Chief Investment Officer to the City of Philadelphia’s $2.5 billion Board of Pensions and Retirement. Prior to her work with the Board of Pensions and Retirement, Tina was the Investment Officer for the $300 million Philadelphia Gas Works Pension Fund.
Tina is a member of the Advisory Board for the Strategic Capital Group of Investcorp, a $38 billion global alternatives investment firm. Tina is a former board member of the Vantage Trust Company, a provider of 401 defined contribution and 457 deferred compensation retirement plans. She is also a former board member and Chairman of the Investment Committee for VTC’s parent company, the ICMA Retirement Corporation (ICMA-RC), a provider of retirement services with over $50 billion under management and administration. Tina is also a leader in her community and sits on the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority, which oversees the City of Philadelphia’s financial plans, and the Center City District. Between 2011 and 2015, she served as a board member and chaired the Research Committee of the National Women’s Business Council, a federal advisory council created to serve as an independent source of advice and counsel to the President, Congress and the U.S. Small Business Administration on economic issues of importance to women business owners.
Tina is the chairman and driving force behind Xponance’s philanthropic entity, A Good Measure Foundation, which provides financial literacy education to inner city youth and supports programs designed to empower impoverished or marginalized women or children in the United States and internationally.
Tina is a recipient of several industry awards and has been quoted and featured in several national and global finance publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Institutional Investor, Bloomberg, Market Watch, Value Walk and Pensions and Investments. H.E. Mr. Carlos Cuerpo Caballero was appointed Spanish Minister of Economy, Trade and Business on 29 December 2023. Prior to his appointment as Minister, he held two senior positions within the Ministry. First, he served as Director General of Macroeconomic Analysis between February 2020 and August 2021, and then as Secretary General of the Spanish Treasury.
Mr Cuerpo began his career as a civil servant in 2008, when he joined the Spanish Corps of State Economists. Since then, he has also worked for the European Commission and the Spanish Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF).
Carlos Cuerpo holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad de Extremadura.
Marsha Caddle is an economist, Member of Parliament and Minister for Economic Affairs and Investment in Barbados. Her specialties in Economics are financing for development; economic governance; competitiveness and investment; and inequality, social protection and human development. Prior to joining the Cabinet of Barbados, Ms. Caddle managed the Governance strategy of the Caribbean Development Bank, following her role as Programme Manager, Poverty and Economic Security with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). She also formerly managed the Economic Security and Rights programme of the then United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) Caribbean Office.
Ms. Caddle received her Economics training at the Universidad Católica Santo Domingo, and has since continued her training in International Economics with the University of Utah, and in Poverty Analysis and Measurement with the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative. She has been a member since 2006 of the International Association for Feminist Economics and the International Working Group on Gender, Macroeconomics and International Economics (GEM-IWG).
In her current role, among Minister Caddle's responsibilities are public investment, economic research and policy, physical planning and development, competitiveness and the growth environment, data and national statistics and climate change.
Tember Cadette holds the position of a Chairman and Founder of Do Something Different, an entirely youth-driven, non-profit organization that seeks to assist and empower underprivileged youth in Saint Lucia. She is a twenty-three-year-old philanthropist and advocate born and raised in Saint Lucia.
She attended the St. Joseph’s Convent Secondary School and the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College where she graduated with an associate degree in General Studies. She is currently reading for her Bachelor's Degree in Digital Business at the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom. As her most recent achievement, in 2020 she was awarded the Saint Lucia Medal of Honor Silver for eminent service rendered in the field of youth development and voluntary service. She also received nominations for Outstanding Youth Fellow and Youth of the Year at this year's Saint Lucia National Youth Awards (2020). Tember additionally also serves as a Sustainable Development Movement Ambassador for the Organization of the Eastern Caribbean States, and a One Young World Ambassador representing Saint Lucia.
Aside from her active philanthropy, Tember is also a content creator and avid reader who aspires to become a Digital Brand Strategist in the near future. As a Digital Brand Strategist, she hopes to assist young entrepreneurs in the Caribbean in taking their brands online successfully and sustainably.
Sven Callebaut is a trade and digital policy adviser working across Asia and the Pacific, helping governments and development partners design strategies that make economies more competitive, inclusive, and future-ready.
Currently, he advises the Minister of Commerce in Cambodia and supports a range of digital trade, economic governance, and private sector development initiatives.
He also provides advisory services to organizations such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), UNCTAD, and GIZ. His work spans from ASEAN-level negotiations and national digital economy reforms to hands-on technical assistance in the Pacific — from Niue to Laos, from AI frameworks to trade diversification.
Sven holds a Master's degree in International Economics from Sorbonne University in Paris and a Diploma in Mastering Trade Policy from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government.
