Productive capacities

A country's productive resources, entrepreneurial skills and production networks determine its capacity to produce goods and deliver services that help it grow and develop.

Strengthening productive capacities is therefore key to diversifying economies, building resilience to shocks and achieving inclusive development.

We assist countries by providing coherent policy advice, technical cooperation and analytical tools – such as the Productive Capacities Index – to identify gaps and design strategies that build the foundations for long-term growth.
