The DMFAS Programme has just updated guidelines on handling Debt Service Suspension Initiative (DSSI) in DMFAS. The document, available in the client area of the website, explains the agreement relating to the suspension of debt payments and how operations resulting from this agreement can be recorded in DMFAS.

The new issue of the DMFAS newsletter is now online in English, French and Spanish. This year, the Programme celebrates its 40th anniversary ! Learn about its history. Be also informed about the recent activities in Angola, in Lao PDR, with IPSAS with ZHAW School of Management and Law and about the webinars on debt statistics bulletins. 

 

DMFAS 6 new release (version 6.1.4.2) includes enhancements to existing features and new functionalities, including enhancements for commission refunds' recording, in the reports module and in the Risk Model Interface. The release note and the instructions are available in English, French and Spanish in the Client area.

 

All the 25 fact sheets on basic debt concepts are now availabe in the client area. New facts sheets include understdanding debt stocks and flows and loan mobilization and debt service. You can download them from the client area.

 

The Debt Data Quality Assessment Framework (Debt- DQA) jointly developed by COMSEC and DMFAS is now available in the client area of the website. The framework will help countries assessing and identifying data errors and information gaps in the debt databases.

 

The Programme is sad to share with you that Enrique Cosio-Pascal, former Chief of the Debt Management and Financial Analysis System (DMFAS) Programme, passed away in New York last April.

 

In light of the evolving and rapid developments in respect to the COVID-19 disease and in line with United Nations recommendations, UNCTAD has suspended all missions until 30 April 2020. The DMFAS Programme continues to provide support remotely.
