Following the successful outcome of an integration feasibility study which took place in Dushanbe in March 2023 that evaluated the possibility of interfacing Tajikistan’s Treasury system with the DMFAS system, UNCTAD hosted a Database structure training in Geneva, from 9 to 20 October 2023.
Three MoF IT staff participated in the activity, during which they were trained on the DMFAS system architecture, the logical and physical structure of the DMFAS database and programming standards, as well as the use of DMFAS web services. This training will be used in the preparation of the technical design of the interface, which will be programmed by the Ministry’s IT team.
The purpose of the interface will be to enable the automation of ed debt service payment instructions and confirmations between the DMFAS system and the Treasury module of Tajikistan’s integrated financial management system, TFMIS. Interface activities include an integration study, training on the DMFAS database structure and web-related services for the programming team, the conceptual and physical design of the interface, programming support, as well as testing and validation.
These activities are included in the UNCTAD-MoF project “Strengthening Public Debt Management in Tajikistan Republic”, financed by the Government of Switzerland.
