UNCTAD at the Asian Development Bank workshop on Cross-border E-commerce: Towards Seamless Connectivity

​UNCTAD will present its B2C E-commerce Index and brief on the proposed Aid for e-Trade initiative at the Cross-border E-commerce: Towards Seamless Connectivity workshop organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), ASEAN Studies Center and the Ministry of Commerce of China, from 9 to 11 March 2016, in Bangkok, Thailand.

The workshop aims to enhance capacities of government officials from the Asia-Pacific region in overcoming constraints to and identifying avenues for cross-border e-commerce development and cooperation. The programme will cover topics such as cross-border e-commerce in the globalised world, e-commerce readiness tools and best practices, case studies, tackling e-commerce challenges and cross-border e-commerce cooperation. It will be attended by country officials from ministries of commerce, ministries of planning, ministries of trade and industry and ministries of finance.
