UNCTAD will host a brainstorming session on the development of a SIDS satellite Productive Capacities Index (PCI) to complement the global PCI. 

The event is organized as part of the UNCTAD project,“Stronger and Greener Productive Capacities for Just Transitions in Caribbean Small Island Developing States.”

The objective of this session is to brief beneficiaries on the current status of the SIDS Satellite PCI and to gather input on the way forward, particularly regarding the selection of input indicators most relevant to SIDS' contexts. 

The meeting will bring together focal points from the four SIDS pilot countries (Antigua and Barbuda, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago), UN Resident Coordinator Offices (RCOs), regional organizations (ECLAC and CARICOM), UNCTAD staff, and academic experts and researchers on SIDS.

The session will take place online via Microsoft Teams. Participation is by invitation only.
