Launch of the Trade and Development Report 2019

Tackling the financial social and environmental doom loops that are threatening development prospects requires an ambitious multilateral agenda.

The Sustainable Development Goals point the way but what is still needed is a policy narrative and evidence-based reform agenda: the report will propose a global green new deal.

It will address the financing of such a deal at both the national and global levels.

In particular, it will examine the role of private financial flows, development banks, fiscal mechanisms and debt markets.
