UNCTAD's Entrepreneurship Policy Framework presented at the National Assembly of Ecuador

UNCTAD has supported the public-private sector initiative in Ecuador to develop a National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Strategy. UNCTAD participated in a High-level event at the country's National Assembly held in May, 2014.

The Alliance for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Ecuador (AEI) presented its proposal for a National Strategy of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecuador 2020 on 8 May 2014 in the National Assembly in Quito.

The Director of the Office of the Vice President and chairs of the Ecuador Government's main economic committees attended the event and reiterated their support for the initiative, as well as their commitment to develop a law on entrepreneurship and innovation.

Stephania Bonilla-Féret participated in a panel and provided inputs from UNCTAD's Entrepreneurship Policy Framework, which has been used as a reference for the development of Ecuador's strategy document.

The panel included the Latin American Development Bank, the Software Association of Ecuador and the Office of the Vice Presidency.
