World Investment Forum 2026
The World Investment Forum (WIF) is the UN’s flagship event for the global investment community. The 9th edition was held from 25 to 27 October in Doha, jointly with the State of Qatar.
The WIF is where policy, capital and enterprise meet to shape the next generation of sustainable, resilient and inclusive investment.
Investment ais about trust – trust in the future, trust in partnership, trust in shared prosperity.
Held under the theme “Investing in the future”, WIF 2026 brought together heads of state, ministers, CEOs, global investors, sovereign wealth funds, development finance institutions, business leaders and international institutions to harness investment to tackle global challenges.
Let us seize this moment of global challenge as an opportunity, to rewire investment toward resilience, equity and shared prosperity.
The WIF is first and foremost a public-private partnership platform for investment.
The 2026 edition of WIF concluded with new proposals, tools and partnerships to help direct more investment to developing economies.
Key outcomes include a global investment risk-sharing initiative, new tools to finance AI and digital infrastructure, principles to modernize investment treaties, and partnerships to unlock opportunities in vulnerable economies.
Together, these initiatives form part of the Doha Global Investment Action Framework, with more than 20 outcomes aimed at turning commitments into investment in the countries and sectors that need it most.
