In 2014, the Government of Angola and the European Union signed a cooperation (financial) agreement that called for the implementation of a Trade Support Project (ACOM) in Angola. The purpose of this project is to encourage the kind of innovative thinking that will be necessary to aid Angola in its ongoing efforts to diversify its economy away from oil. The EU-UNCTAD joint Programme of Support for Angola: Train for Trade II – is one of the two components of the Trade Support Project (ACOM).
Under the project framework, UNCTAD was invited to deliver two sessions on the benefits of its behaviour-based entrepreneurship development workshop, called Empretec, to entrepreneurship promotion for rural entrepreneurs in Angola. The sessions focused on practical tools such as entrepreneurial skills, sustainable businesses, and planning and business model that are used in the Empretec workshop.
The 1st workshop that will bring together delegates from three provinces including Kwanza-North and South and Malange will be held in the province of Kwanza-North, in the city of N'Dalatando,
