Advancing Economic Resilience for Caribbean Developing States—Innovating the Port Community System

23 May 2024
14:00 - 15:00 hrs. Bougainvillea
Bridgetown

Barbados Port Inc. (BPI) is currently developing an innovative Port Community System. The concept is that in addition to typical maritime information management found in existing PCS worldwide, the Barbados PCS will also provide information for Cruise Services administration, environmental (waste and emissions) controls, and law enforcement intelligence, all of which are vital contributors to the development of the Barbados economy.

The session will illustrate the innovative design of the Barbados Port Community System and incorporate the online demonstration of the Maritime Single Window.
