The Advisory committee meeting of the FCBP was held on 19 June 2012 at the Novo Mundo Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The objectives of this meeting were:
1. Advancing in the selection and prioritisation of value chains, and
2. Reviewing a number of methodologies, guidelines and systems to enhance sustainable use of biodiversity opportunities within the selected sectors.

This meeting was held back-to-back with the I BioTrade Congress, which allowed the broad participation of BioTrade partners across the globe and the company members of the FCBP Advisory Committee.
