The National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC) Meeting of Burundi will be held in Bujumbura on 28-31 January 2020 with the technical assistance of UNCTAD and financial support of TradeMark EA. The NTFC Meeting in Burundi is part of the UNCTAD Phase II project on Trade Facilitation under the leadership of the EAC Secretariat. The project is aimed at providing technical assistance to the EAC Secretariat and the EAC Partner States in trade facilitation reforms and simplification of trade procedures built upon the Trade Information Portals, all implemented by UNCTAD. The meeting will ensure strategic guidance on the implementation process of the trade facilitation policies in Burundi as well as the implementation of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
