Competition Seminar for Fair Competition Commissioners and Tribunal Judges

The objective of the seminar on competition law and policy is to familiarize the Commissioners and the judiciary with the economic and legal aspects of competition law enforcement; as well as with economic analysis in and adjudication of competition cases. The programme includes merger analysis, abuse of dominance cases and relevant market definition and sanctions and remedies. The seminar will also cover emerging issues in consumer protection as they may have implications for competition policy. Resource persons include UNCTAD staff and competition and consumer protection experts from Jamaica, Kenya, South Africa and Zambia.
