UNCTAD disseminates results of Chile’s Voluntary Peer Review on Consumer Protection Law and Policy recommendations.

In 2021, Chile volunteered for UNCTAD’s Voluntary Peer Reviews on Consumer Protection law and Policy. One of the recommendations stemming from the review is for Chile’s Constitutional Convention to consider the inclusion of consumer protection in the new Constitution of Chile, as is contained in UNCTAD’s background report

In this context, the National Consumer Service of Chile (SERNAC) organized an online event to discuss consumer rights in the context of the constitutional debate, gathering experiences of Spain, UNCTAD and the academia. You may access the recording of the event here.
