E-commerce and Developing Nations: Opportunities for Growth and Challenges

The panel will explore the opportunities for growth that e-commerce affords developing nations and the challenges e-traders face there.  

Chris Folayan, founder of Mallforafrica.com will share first-hand his experience in promoting e-commerce and other initiatives in Africa.

Victor do Prado, the Director of the WTO's Council and the Trade Negotiations Committee (TNC) Division will analyse what WTO Members are doing about this, both in the context of the WTO's e-commerce programme and in the Joint Statement initiative for e-commerce.

Amgad Shehata, Chairman of the Global Express Association, will focus on the importance of logistics to connect e-traders to clients around the world.

This lunch panel is organised by the Global Express Association (DHL, FedEx, UPS).
