ECOSOC Youth Forum 2025 - Session on empowering and engaging young people: The evolving role of science and technology

Science and technology are essential for providing solutions to global issues. With 68% of the world’s population online, emerging technologies like AI, quantum computing, IoT, and other innovations offer opportunities but also present challenges.

As part of the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2025, this session will provide an opportunity to share best practices on educating and preparing youth for responsible engagement with technology, raise awareness of existing innovative models developed with youth for youth, and demonstrate how emerging technologies can address the most pressing global challenges, such as poverty, humanitarian crises, and climate change.
