Eleventh Meeting of the African Continental Free Trade Area Technical Working Group on Rules of Origin

​Background and Objective

The objective of the 11th Meeting of the Technical Working Group on Rules of Origin (TWG) is to review the draft Appendix IV on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Rules of Origin (RoO), as well as to consider other outstanding work assigned to it.

Upon request from delegates and the African Union Commission (AUC) Secretariat during previous Meetings of the TWG, an advanced technical paper on “The Treatment of Goods Originating in Special Economic Arrangements / Zones in the African Continental Free Trade Area” has been prepared UNCTAD, and will be circulated to all delegates.
