Body

The Empretec Fundraising Crash Course is designed to help early-stage start-up founders gain a practical understanding of what it takes to secure their first round of funding. Organized by UNCTAD, the Social Development Bank and Empretec Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with 1K Mile under the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), the course guides participants through every stage of the fundraising process. From developing a robust investment case to crafting and delivering a compelling investor pitch, participants will acquire the knowledge and tools needed to engage confidently with potential investors and accelerate their business growth.

Over seven days, founders will explore what investors look for when evaluating start-ups, how to determine and communicate their funding requirements, and how to build an effective pitch deck. The course concludes with a pitching simulation, during which participants present their business ideas in small groups and receive practical feedback from experienced investors.

Delivered by a team of investment professionals and start-up mentors, the course is open to founders from all sectors. It forms part of broader efforts to strengthen entrepreneurship and enterprise development in support of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
