On 3-7 May 2021, UNCTAD will run an Induction Week for the new cohort of eTrade for Women Advocates (2021-2022).

The eTrade for Women Advocates are highly successful and influential women business leaders nominated by UNCTAD to empower women in the digital economy.

The Advocates embody the values and mission of the eTrade for Women initiative for a tenure of one year renewable.  Throughout their tenure, they engage in a set of high-impact activities to bring the voice of women to the front and contribute to more inclusive policy-making at the global and regional levels.

Through their work and leadership, the Advocates also inspire and empower the next generation of women entrepreneurs to build more inclusive digital ecosystems at the local level.

This second cohort of Advocates counts six outstanding women entrepreneurs covering the following regions: the Arab States, Africa, the Balkans, Latin America and South-East Asia.

The Induction week will mark the beginning of their tenure and will offer them an opportunity to take part in a combination of briefing sessions, interactions with UNCTAD Senior Management, including Acting Secretary-General Ms. Isabelle Durant, and some of UNCTAD’s key partners.

UNCTAD will  unveil the new cohort of   eTrade  for Women Advocates on 5  May  2021.

This event is not open to the public.
