European Consumer Summit 2021

In the context of the Portuguese presidency of the European Union, and on the occasion of World Consumers Rights Day on 15 of March, the Directorate General of Portugal is organizing the European Consumer Summit 2021, which will take place online.

UNCTAD Acting Secretary-General Isabelle Durant will speak at the high-level panel, "International cooperation for consumer protection". She will be joined by representatives from the government of Portugal, the African Union, the European Commission, the private sector and civil society.

The summit's theme is "Making the new consumer agenda happen."
