The Investment Policy Review (IPR) of South-East Europe is the first regional IPR undertaken by UNCTAD and will cover the following economies: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo*, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro and Serbia.
It will deal with key features of the national and international policy environment affecting investment, including entry, treatment and protection, procedures to establish a business, fiscal policy and investment incentives, labour market and skills, competition regulation as well as regional investment promotion initiatives.
* This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSC 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.
