​The International Conference on Competition and Development is hosted by Consumer Unity and Trust Society (CUTS). UNCTAD will intervene as a discussant in the opening session on political economy aspects of competition and development. UNCTAD will speak on how competition policy can contribute to inclusive growth by preventing anti-competitive practices, including cartels, bid-rigging in public procurement; ensuring fair competition; and promoting contestable markets open to new entrants.
