The Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation of Algeria and the E-Commerce and Digital Economy Branch of UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) are organizing the launch of the eTrade Readiness Assessment of Algeria (eT Ready) on 26 June 2025.
The launch of the eT Ready will bring together representatives of the main stakeholders from the public sector, private sector and civil society as well as development partners.
On the sidelines of the launch on 26 June, a development partners’ roundtable will be held to share information and explore opportunities for collaboration to fast-track the implementation of eT Ready recommendations. On the same day, a presentation will be delivered on UNCTAD’s eTrade Reform Tracker, an online tool designed to support the coordination and monitoring of the implementation of the recommendations included in the eT Ready.
The eT Ready of Algeria is the 40th assessment conducted by UNCTAD and the 21st in Africa. Funding was provided by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the ECDE Core Donors (Australia, Switzerland, Sweden, and The Kingdom of the Netherlands).
