Following the success of the first Spanish edition of the course on “The Use of Blockchain in Trade Facilitation” in 2024, UN Trade and Development and the UN Regional Commission for the Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will host online the Opening Ceremony of the second Spanish edition of this course on 4 November 2025, from 16:00 to 18:00 (CET).
The course explores the concept of blockchain and raises awareness on the possibilities and obstacles associated with using such a technology in trade facilitation. Additionally, it provides a practical understanding for decision-makers and practitioners about the advantages, conditions and adequate environment needed to ensure the successful implementation of blockchain technology.
The event is open to all stakeholders who have previously registered for the course. Registrations can be done here.
During the event, there will be an introduction to the course methodology, followed by the release and presentation of the first module, "Understanding the potential use of blockchain in trade facilitation", delivered by experts in blockchain.
The session will provide participants with an opportunity to answer potential questions regarding the course.
