We are pleased to inform you about the release of the second issue of the GLOBEFISH Insight, entitled “Export of Fish and Fish Products From India - Non-Tariff Measures”. This publication was based on a report developed with the support of an external consultant and in collaboration with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
This GLOBEFISH Insight issue analyses import requirements primarily linked to food safety of fisheries and aquaculture products set by the major importing markets. It also addresses the pattern of exports of Indian fisheries and aquaculture products, existing export control mechanisms, product rejection at the border of importing markets, and losses estimation. Other issues directly or indirectly affecting the trade of fisheries and aquaculture products are also investigated, such as technical barriers, private standards, non-traditional barriers, trade agreements, and regional fisheries bodies.
