Within the framework of the interagency collaboration between UNDP Angola and UNCTAD/TrainForTrade*, a workshop on Sustainable Tourism for Development will be organized in Menongue, Angola.
The collaboration will allow UNCTAD/TrainForTrade to build on the results of its Project for Angola (2007-2011) and to assist UNDP in achieving the technical assistance objectives of its Growing Sustainable Business Project.
The workshop on Sustainable Tourism for Development aims at strengthening local human resources in the public and private sectors and increase awareness of the benefits of a sustainable approach for the tourism sector.
In addition to this first event, the interagency collaboration foresees five workshops on tourism and productive capacities. The activities will be implemented in close cooperation with national project stakeholders.
