The mission supported the 2025 Trade in Services survey conducted by l’Agence Nationale de la Statistique et de la Démographie (ANSD) in Senegal. It focused on implementing the Trade in Services Statistics Information System (TiSSTAT), developed and maintained by UNCTAD. The mission was carried out in collaboration with the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) Commission. During the mission, experts addressed sampling issues and discussed how stratification is best used to make accurate inferences about the population of enterprises. The mission also resolved technical challenges to make sure the system runs properly on the ANSD servers, and discussed how ANSD can make best use of TiSSTAT. They also drafted recommendations for future enhancements to the TiSSTAT application.
