National Launch of Ghana’s eT Readiness Assessment (eT Ready)

06 November 2023
10:00 - 13:00 hrs. Labadi Beach Hotel
Accra
, Ghana

The Ghana eT Ready national launch will serve as a forum for the Ministry of Trade and Industry, in collaboration with UNCTAD, to present the assessment report to Ghanaian senior government officials, chief executives, industry leaders and development partners. The report is launched following its review and validationlast August by the newly established Ghana Steering Committee on E-commerce and Digital Trade.  The event aims to identify, on the basis of the report findings and recommendations, e-commerce development priorities which can be implemented in the short-to-medium term, including through public-private partnerships and with the support of development partners.

Ghana’s eT Ready expands UNCTAD’s ongoing technical assistance on e-commerce in West Africa, including the ECOWAS E-Commerce Strategy adopted last July. It follows eight (8) national assessments for countries in the region, and two (2) regional assessments for the West African Economic Monetary Union and the Economic Community of West African States. Funding is provided by the E-commerce and Digital Economy Programme Core Donors (Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, and The Netherlands).
