09:00 - 16:30 hrs.
Lima
, Peru

In close collaboration with the Secretariat of Government and Digital Transformation (SGTD) of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Peru, UNCTAD is organizing a national validation workshop in Lima to present the results of the eT Readiness Assessment of Peru.

Members of the National Technical Committee for e-commerce, development partners and private sector representatives will participate in this workshop, thanks to the financial and technical support of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

This workshop follows a series of bilateral meetings and multi-stakeholder consultations with key e-commerce actors in Peru, organized in Lima in October 2022, which led to the development of the eT Ready assessment. In addition, fruitful exchanges with eTrade for all partners, the UN Resident Coordinator Office and the UN Country Team in Peru highlighted several digital-related initiatives of development partners, including ECLAC, UNDP, ITC, UPU, IDB, UNIDO, UNESCO, KOICA, SECO, USAID and the WB.

Within the framework of the eT Ready assessment, the validation workshop aims to bring together all national stakeholders and development partners to:

  • Present the main findings of the eT Ready of Peru.
  • Collect feedback and any supplementary information contributing to the eT Ready assessment.
  • Discuss the results and suggested policy recommendations to agree on the priority actions that will be integrated into the Action Matrix of the eT Ready assessment.

Build synergies with development partners regarding ongoing and planned digital-related initiatives that could support the implementation of priority actions.
