UNCTAD is organizing, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Export Development (MCDE), a national validation workshop to present the results of the eTrade Readiness Assessment to members of the steering committee and key Tunisian stakeholders. This evaluation is supported by the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ) as part of its "Digital Transformation Program" project. This workshop follows a series of capacity-building activities and national multi-stakeholder consultations organized in March 2021 with key national e-business stakeholders, and technical and financial partners in close collaboration with the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator. The objectives of the national workshop will be to present the results of the assessment, discuss the findings, validate the priority actions that will be incorporated into an Action Matrix, and present the next steps, including an Action Plan. The latter is envisaged to provide an operational tool for planning and implementing priority actions. It will outline key measures to accelerate the e-commerce uptake in Tunisia and its development will be led by the MCDE with the support of UNCTAD and other key partners. Venue via MS Teams |
