Agenda focus

Driven by the energy transition, the restructuring of global supply chains and breakthroughs in marine technology, the ocean economy is evolving from traditional resource extraction and transport corridors into an integrated industrial system connecting marine renewable energy, marine equipment manufacturing, port and shipping logistics, marine biotechnology and digital infrastructure. Its growth potential comes not only from the expansion of new industries but also from the ability to convert technology, capital and ocean space into sustainable industrial capacity.

This session will bring together investors, industry leaders and academic institutions to explore the priority directions, returns and risk boundaries of capital entering the ocean economy. Discussions will focus on blue finance and the core concerns of the ocean economy in global investment — including industrial development, ecological carrying capacity, shipping safety and benefit-sharing — to advance an inclusive and sustainable ocean economy.
