As part of its eTrade Implementation Support Mechanism (ISM), UNCTAD will convene an online workshop bringing together eTrade Focal Points and officials from lead implementing agencies from partner countries across Asia and among Pacific Island countries, as well as regional organizations.
The workshop will present the key findings and recommendations of the fourth eTrade Implementation Review and provide insights on the rollout of the eTrade Reform Tracker. It will offer a platform for peer learning, highlighting good practices and lessons learned in the implementation of e-commerce and digital trade reforms. By facilitating experience-sharing and fostering South–South cooperation, the workshop aims to strengthen connections across the eTrade community and gather valuable feedback to inform future capacity-building activities under the eTrade ISM.
Since 2020, UNCTAD’s eTrade ISM has supported developing and least developed countries, along with regional organizations, in strengthening their capacities to design and implement e-commerce and digital trade reforms. This support implements the reform priorities identified through eTrade Readiness Assessments and set out in national and regional E-commerce Strategies.
